Floga Dance Troup

 The Saint Spyridon Hellenic Dance Program continues to thrive, bringing our youth together through the rich traditions of Greek dance. Our mission is to preserve our Hellenic heritage by teaching the dances, customs, and traditions that have been passed down through generations, while creating a welcoming environment where young people can build confidence, develop lifelong friendships, and strengthen their connection to our church community.    

We offer two dance groups:

Wonderworkers (1st–5th Grade)
Our youngest dancers learn the fundamentals of Greek dance in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Students develop rhythm, coordination, confidence, teamwork, and an appreciation for Greek culture while mastering basic traditional dances.

Floga (6th Grade–College)
Building on the foundation established in Wonderworkers, Floga dancers expand their repertoire by learning more advanced regional dances, intricate choreography, and traditional dance figoures.  This performance group proudly represents Saint Spyridon at events throughout the year, including the Papaflessas Dinner Dance, Greek festivals, Apokriatiko celebrations, community events, and other cultural performances.

The Saint Spyridon Hellenic Dance Program is led by Director Sophia Christofer, with instruction provided by Sophia Christofer and Olga Baroudos. Program coordination and events managed by Anastasia Deligiannis, who supports the dance program’s planning, communications, events, and operations along side with the Director.
