Parent Teacher Association

The Parent-Teacher Association is an organization of parents and teachers whose purpose is to support the needs of St. Spyridon’s schools – Plutarchos Greek School and St. Spyridon Sunday School. The P.T.A. is committed to providing our students with the best opportunities to enhance their educational, spiritual, and cultural needs.

Over the years, the P.T.A. has worked diligently to raise money to support our schools and various community needs.  For example, the P.T.A. recently furnished all the classrooms and raised money for the renovation of our community center.   Throughout the school year, the P.T.A. is busy hosting coffee socials after the Divine Liturgy and during school presentations for OXI Day, the Christmas Pageant, The Three Hierarchs, Greek Independence Day, and Graduation Sunday. The P.T.A. organizes and sponsors the Lenten Retreat, the Greektown Parade, Family Nights, the Christmas Party, the New Year’s Vasilopita, and Godparents Sunday.  Finally, the P.T.A. annually offers a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving Sunday School high school senior.
